WELCOME TO SAINT THOMAS THE APOSTLE SCHOOL!

We hope you have been enjoying your summer.  We are looking forward to an exciting year and below is some information that might be helpful as you look toward September.

GENERAL INFORMATION

Our website is a great tool to find out what’s happening at the school.  It provides updates, monthly schedule highlights, information about what the children are learning in their class, HSA information and much more. Every form and fact sheet can be found there for your convenience. 

ORIENTATIONS:   September 5, 2017                   

Pre-K 3’s              9:30  Parents with children meet with teacher in classroom

Pre-K 4’s -           10:30  Parents with children meet with teachers in classrooms

Kindergarten        10:00  Parents with children meet with teachers in classrooms

FIRST WEEK SCHEDULE:

September 6th               7:45am opening -12:20pm dismissal

                                       Pre-K 4, Kindergarten – Grade 8

September 7th               8-11:00am: Pre-K 3   

                                      7:45am-12:20pm: Pre-K 4, Kdg. through 8TH grades.    

September 8th               7:45-12:20: Pre-K 4

                                      7:45am – 2:00pm:  All Students Kdg. through 8th grades                  

  • All grades will have a break/snack on 11:00am and/or 12:20pm dismissals.  Harmony Foods will have snacks available for purchase on September 6th and 7th, and sandwiches and snacks available for purchase on September 8th.   Full lunches and milk will be available beginning the week of September 11th.  The September lunch menu is posted on the school website.
  • Aftercare begins on Wednesday, September 6th. ALL STUDENTS using After Care must have an After Care registration form on file before they can use the service. These forms are available on the school website in the Parent Portal tab. 
  • Drop - off and Bus Students (1st through 8th) use Front School Doors 
  • Kindergarten and Pre-K 3 and 4 students may be walked to their classrooms by a parent through Friday, Sept. 8th. Beginning Monday, September 11th, you may walk your child to the front door where an aide will meet them and take them to their classrooms.

UNIFORMS:        Flynn & O’Hara (1-800-441-4122) Not necessary until Friday, Sept. 8, 2017

         Preschool: Boys and Girls are not required to wear a uniform.  They should wear safe, comfortable closed              toe shoes at all times, and clothing that allows for tumbling and playtime.  An extra set of clothing should be            kept in a zip-lock bag (with your child’s name on the outside) in the classroom.

         Kindergarten: Specific information regarding uniforms can be found on our website.  Belts are never                      necessary; any closed toe style shoe or sneaker is acceptable. Velcro is requested unless your child can tie            his/her own shoe.
