Some important information regarding my math classes —
Homework – Homework will be assigned every night. It is posted on the homework link for each grade level everyday.
Textbook Online Access – Students will have online access to their mathematics textbook. Usernames and passwords are taped in the front of each students’ math notebook. You can access the Holt McDougal Online Textbook & Tools by going to the website by using the link on the left side of this page.
IXL – IXL topics will be assigned each week on Monday due the next Monday. Students must complete the topics to receive ten points each week. This online program helps students practice and master various math concepts throughout the school year.
- Go to https://www.IXL.com/signin/sttaob
- Subject is math and choose seventh or eighth grade
- Work on the topics assigned each week. Students in regular math will need a smart score of at least an 80 to receive credit and students in accelerated math will need a smart score of at least an 85 to receive credit. However, your personal goal should always be to master the concept with a smart score of 100%.
Supplies – Students must have their textbook, notebook, graphing paper notebook, homework, pencils, and basic calculator (with a square root button) with them each day in class.
Tests and quizzes will be returned after all students take the test and/or quiz. Grades are posted weekly on Power School. If you check on Monday or Tuesday, you will be able to see your child’s progress from the previous week.

STUDENTS HELPING STUDENTS
Any student in 5th – 8th grade can go to Mrs. Gioacchini’s classroom on Tuesday and/or Thursday during their lunch/recess time for extra help in math.
7th and 8th graders are available to help students.
