A homework packet will be sent home on the first day of the week and due back on the last day of the week. Please have your child complete some of the packet each evening. The packet should be completed with guidance, however, please do not do the coloring or writing for them. Please make sure your child writes neatly. Your child must write his/her name on the top of each page in the packet.Homework Packet for 1/20 - 1/24
Math- Identify & describe spheres, cubes, & cylinders.
Language Arts: Write your name on homework page, sound to symbol /k/, review l, d, c, & phonemic awareness /n/.General Information
The following information is a much-needed guide to get us through a smooth school day.
Please have your child use the bathroom before leaving home.
All Kindergarteners enter and exit through Door 11.
School doors open 7:30am. School begins 7:45am. Please have your child to school within this time frame.
Dismissal for Kindergarten is 1:50pm.
Half day and early dismissal is 12:10pm for Kindergarten.
All children should bring 2 snacks and 2 small drinks on all 12:10 dismissal days. If you are sending in water, please send only the small-sized bottles. On regular days children will need three small drinks.
Large backpack / lunch box and clean washcloth (to be used as a placemat) are needed daily.
We are a "Nut Free" School. Food may not contain peanuts or tree nuts of any kind.
KB students should wear gym uniforms on Thursdays (gym). Dress down or dress up for birthdays is permissible and encouraged.
Please practice buttoning pants and zippering skorts. If girls are wearing the uniform skirt instead of the skort, please replace the button with velcro or a large snap. Children should know how to put on and zipper their jackets. Children may not wear boots during the school day . Please send in a change of shoes during inclement weather. Please refrain from shoes with laces. Velcro sneakers/shoes are a safe alternative until the children can independently tie their shoes.
*** Just a reminder, as per school policy, sneakers and shoes must be solid black or solid white in color. No other colored sneakers or shoes are allowed. Kindergarteners may wear sneakers to school every day.
Please check your child’s folder each day. Please check the RETURN side of the folder and empty the HOME side of the folder.
If there is a change of dismissal while your child is already in school, instructions must be sent to my email, as well as Mrs. Owens and Mrs. Adami. You must also call the office to reassure that the school is aware of the dismissal change. Mrs. Adami's email is [email protected]. If your child is a bus rider, the email must also be sent to Mrs. Delfino. Her email is [email protected].

Please note that I may not have the opportunity to check my email once the students are in the classroom. However, I will be sure to get back to you at the end of the day. Please practice the Sign of the Cross, Hail Mary, Glory Be to the Father and Our Father at home with your child.PLEASE CONTINUE TO PRACTICE OUR KINDERGARTEN SIGHT WORDS.
